New collaboration enables ophthalmologists and optometrists to pair advanced wavefront-guided diagnostics with scleral lens options
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., August 10, 2026 – WaveFront Dynamics, Inc. (WDI), a venture-backed company and pioneer in wavefront sensing technology for use in measuring and perfecting visual performance, today announced two new integrations with Bausch + Lomb and WAVE Eye Care, designed to provide eye care professionals with greater flexibility in premium scleral lens selection and patient care.
Through these collaborations, eye care professionals utilizing the WaveDȳn® Vision Analyzer and the WaveDȳn® Advantage optic design service will now have expanded access to Bausch + Lomb’s Zenlens® CHROMA HOA™ and additional scleral lens options from WAVE Eye Care, enabling practices to combine advanced diagnostic intelligence with the lens platform that is most appropriate for each patient’s visual needs.
“Today’s clinicians want both precision and flexibility,” said Dan Neal, Ph.D., Founder, CEO, WaveFront Dynamics. “These collaborations represent an important step forward in empowering eye care professionals with advanced wavefront analysis while preserving their ability to choose the scleral lens technology they believe is best for each patient. By expanding the ecosystem around our WaveDȳn Vision Analyzer, we are helping practices deliver more customized care for patients with complex cornea cases and higher-order aberrations.”
With a growing industry focus on integrating diagnostic innovation with broader treatment optionality, these integrations reflect a shared commitment to providing eye care professionals with additional tools and workflow options when managing complex visual needs.
“As a clinician focused on complex corneal cases, the diagnostic depth of the WaveDȳn Vision Analyzer has genuinely changed how I approach scleral lens selection,” said Nathan Schramm, OD, Insight Vision Costa Mesa. “With expanded lens options now available through these collaborations, I have everything I need in one ecosystem to deliver truly personalized care for my patients who require scleral lenses.”
“The WaveDȳn Vision Analyzer and WaveDȳn Advantage platform broaden eye care professionals’ ability to utilize our Zenlens® CHROMA HOA™ lenses,” said Yang Yang, President, Global Vision Care, Bausch + Lomb. “The diagnostic information these technologies provide is important to the fitting process and offers more options for designing HOA-correcting scleral lenses for patients.”
These collaborations also extend value to referring optometrists, giving them access to more comprehensive planning tools alongside the surgeons they work with.
“Our EyePrint Prosthetics customers have seen firsthand what Wavefront Dynamics HOA-correction technology can do for their patients, and we are thrilled to bring that same capability to our WAVE ScleraLens designs. Expanding this partnership is a natural next step in our ongoing commitment to making the best custom specialty contact lens options available to every practice and every patient we serve,” said Brian Purdy, Vice President of Sales & Commercial Development at WAVE Eye Care.
By connecting advanced diagnostics with customizable lens technologies, the collaborations are expected to improve communication and expand access to personalized solutions for both MDs and ODs.
Patients who rely on scleral lenses often continue to experience glare, halos and blur because traditional lenses correct only low-order aberrations. WaveFront Dynamics addresses this with its WaveDȳn Vision Analyzer and WaveDȳn Advantage custom optic design service, which together measure the eye’s full optical error and create a wavefront-guided scleral lens that corrects both low- and higher-order aberrations. The result is a more data-driven fitting process that supports customization and provides eye care professionals with additional information when managing complex vision cases.

About HOAs
HOAs are complex irregularities in the eye’s lens or cornea that can significantly impact visual clarity. They result from factors such as irregularities in the corneal shape, scarring, previous eye surgeries, large pupils or certain medical conditions affecting the eye, such as keratoconus or other corneal dystrophies. They can also be induced by the aging process or from changes in the eye’s internal structures. Patients who have HOAs can experience symptoms such as blurred vision, halos, glare and difficulty seeing in low light conditions such as driving at night.
About Zenlens CHROMA HOA
Zenlens® CHROMA HOA™ is designed to correct advanced higher-order aberrations in patients with irregular corneas and complex visual needs. By incorporating wavefront-guided measurements into the scleral lens fitting process, Zenlens CHROMA HOA provides eye care professionals with an advanced option for managing challenging visual conditions.
